Admit it. Shopping is entrenched in your blood, whether you’re a proud member of the shopaholics club or prefer to keep your retail addictions hidden; a good retail therapy session goes a long way. As an admitted shopping fiend, I am always looking for places to shop that aid in expanding my wardrobe and accessories collection. In Atlanta, you have a choice of standard, but plentiful mall shopping, exclusive access at boutiques and the consistently emerging fascination that thrift stores and consignment stores provide. Give into the temptation and allure of perusing clothing racks and trying on shoes and anything else that tickles your shopping fancy and check out the best places in Atlanta to work you into a proverbial shopping frenzy. Happy shopping!
1 Phipps Plaza
The preeminent luxury shopping oasis in Atlanta, Phipps Plaza is not only the best place to shop that sends fellow fashionistas into a frenzy, but it is also one of the best places to spot the many celebs (and their stylists) that grace the marble floors and hallowed halls with their presence. With the overabundance of luxury brands represented, casual shoppers and shopaholics alike will have a field day venturing into every store to see the lovely goods provided. AX Armani Exchange, Versace, Gucci, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany & Co., Valentino, Elie Tahari and Tory Burch are just a few of the luxury brands and sought after designers you can find here, where shopping is a must.

2 Lenox Square Mall
Not only the best mall in the city, but also the best place that houses an impressive mix of high and low end retailers to ensure that, regardless of budget or price point, everyone deserves to be as fashionable as they can. When you think of the trendy and celeb-filled Buckhead neighborhood a few things instantly come to mind, and one of those things is Lenox Square. As an avid shopper and native Atlantan, Lenox Square was the place where I first cut my teeth as an emerging fashion fiend and as I’ve grown some stores have come and gone, but the general purpose has always remained the same…to shop, and shop well. Teens and those successful in business will equally find stores that appeal to their tastes and tax brackets. FENDI, Louis Vuitton, Coach, Mont Blanc, Gap, Express, bebe, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Urban Outfitters, Lacoste, Kenneth Cole, Burberry and Banana Republic are some of the notable places to give shoppers a retail workout.

3 Atlantic Station
Only five years old, and located in the bustling metropolis of Midtown, Atlantic Station prides itself on being a little city within the city of Atlanta. One of their slogans is “Live, Work, Play” and you can do just that, with apartments, condos, movie theaters, restaurants, retail stores and grocery stores, whatever you want or need you can certainly find it here, which is what makes shopping here such as pleasure. Beautiful views of the city skyline are the backdrop and the attraction of Atlantic Station. Another cool feature is that visitors coming to Atlanta have the visual treat of being able to see this shopping complex from the highway, so there is no excuse not to stop by when travelling. This outdoor shopping complex is ideal during the warmer months of the year, however if chillier temps don’t bother you, by all means head on down and do your holiday shopping with a variety of retailers to choose from. H&M, Target, Dillard’s, Old Navy, Ann Taylor, American Eagle Outfitters, Guess?, Nine West, DSW, Victoria’s Secret and White House/Black Market are amongst the great cluster of retailers on hand for a one of a kind shopping experience.

4 Stefan’s Vintage Clothing Inc.
Located in the ultra-trendy neighborhood of Atlanta known as Little Five Points, Stefan’s Vintage Clothing is the perfect place for shoppers who take their fashion and accessory shopping seriously. Stocking beautiful vintage pieces from the beginning of the century all the way through the 1970s and 80s, if you want to be original and don’t want to run the risk of seeing your ensemble adorn someone else, this is the place for you. Craving a classical lovely LBD? Longing for a suit tailored in the age when they were the mandatory staple for men? Salivating over vintage jewelry that your Mom wore when you were younger? Look no further because everything is available here. This is a fashion addicts playground and not for those that are used to every detail of an outfit put together for them.
1160 Euclid Ave. NE
For the hottest styles and trends in urban wear, there is no better place in the city to shop. Also located in the Little Five Points neighborhood, Wish houses an impressive stock of t-shirts, jeans, hoodies, hats, sneakers and more. They definitely have a large stock of men’s clothing, but women’s brands are also represented. The interior is very hip and chic, with a polished design element that expertly maintains an urban sensibility. A bonus: some of urban entertainment’s biggest stars (from hip-hop stars to R&B crooners) have been known to frequent this clothing hotspot.
