Local Celebrity Chefs Join Together for Charity

Join McGladrey’s business professional services firm for the McGladrey’s Culinary Challenge for Charity this Tuesday, December 7th from 5:30 – 9:30PM at their offices at 80 City Square, Boston. This unique event pairs seven of the city’s top chefs with other local personalities as their sous chefs to raise money for seven area charities this holiday season.

Guests will be treated to the culinary wonders of the following Boston area maestros of the kitchen: Anthony Caturano of Prezza, Chris Damian of Legendary Restaurant Group, Dante deMagistris (pictured) of Restaurant dante and il Casale, Frank McClelland of L’Espalier, Jeff Nace of Neptune Oyster, Lydia Shire of Towne & Locke Ober and Jason Santos of Hell’s Kitchen fame and Gargoyles on the Square.  All of the local celebrity pairings have not yet been announced, but word has it newman Billy Costa from Kiss 108 and host of TV Diner along with former WCVB TV / ABC TV anchorwoman Natalie Jacobson will be two of the media personalities in attendance acting as sous chefs to these culinary masters.

The suggested minimum donation to attend is $75. 100% of the proceeds from the evening’s activities will go to the 7 benefiting charities.  The participating charities are Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, The Genesis Fund, Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries, Jewish National Fund, The Lenny Zakim Fund,
Boston Police Activities League, Special Olympics.

While the visual wonders of seeing these masters at work will be sure to entertain all in attendance, the real treat comes when the edible creations are passed around for all to enjoy. The McGladrey New England Charitable Foundation gives its employees a chance throughout the year to work collaboratively to support and give back to the local community with the full supported of the McGladrey’s Corporation.
