The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe has hit a new high on the luxury scale. With its dramatic and sleek design and its turbo charged engine, the result is a luxury sedan with a major kick.
Some unique features of this Caddy include a grille that doubles the car intake volume (thus giving it that extra smooth power). The V Coupe has V-signature mesh grilles with gaping air intakes and the bulged hood that covers the 556-hp, 6.2-liter supercharged V-8. Geez! That is a mouthful, so you can only imagine what this baby can do.
I had heard chatter about this new luxury Cadillac, so I was thrilled when Classic Cadillac of Sandy Springs invited me to test drive their newest creation.
What lured me the most was the cutting-edge infotainment center, which includes a 40 gig hard drive, advanced navigation system with deployable screen and a Base digital surround audio as well as a factory-installed Bluetooth phone integration. And these are just the standard features of the V.
Apparently, the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is a great choice for the taller set. But, shorter people like me can also drive comfortably. I especially loved the fourteen way adjustable Recaro sports seats. In fact, they are pretty fun to play with and if for those who have trouble getting comfortable in the driver’s seat, this will ensure a perfect ride.
But with all the luxury accoutrements, the most talked about is the speed and power of this beauty. In fact, the CTS luxury V8 sedan is the world’s fastest production V8 sedan. This car can go from 0 to 60 miles in a mere 3.9 seconds. Although tempted to try on the streets of Atlanta, I held in my urge and instead opted for a more cruising speed. I was actually being nice, giving everyone on the road a chance to ogle at the car’s power and shape.
If you haven’t seen this beauty in person, I highly recommend you take a look and maybe even a ride. This is the hottest luxury sedan to be on the road in 2011. Make sure you can handle the power, however.
