What Made Him Haute: The CEO of DreamWorks Animation has been said to have “the hand of God” when it comes to his knack for animation. Before DreamWorks, he served as chairman for The Walt Disney Co. He’s responsible for major blockbuster hits “Shrek,” “Bee Movie,” “Shark Tale” and “Madagascar.”

What Makes Him Haute Now: This week, Variety has reported that DreamWorks intends to make a revolutionary new movie. “Me and My Shadow” follows a shadow who trails behind “the world’s most boring human.” Yearning for a more dynamic and exciting lifestyle, the frustrated Shadow Stan decides to break the one and only rule of the Shadow World: They lead, we follow.

Making this project the first of its kind, it aims to incorporate elements of different media into the film much like the hit “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” incorporated two medias in 1988. They will combine “the time-honored tradition of hand-drawn animation with the magical sophistication of CG characters and worlds in ways that have never been experienced by audiences before,” says DWA President of Production Bill Damaschke. And they have the resources to do it, as at least 50 percent of staffers have experience using both. “It will be super-challenging but very cool,” he says.
