The Katacomb Showcases Art For Special Event

From the Atelier Minyon "Letters" collection

Fashion, just like painting or photography, is an art. So it’s no surprise that a darling of the boutique world would happen to know some amazing artists of other persuasions. Swing by The Katacomb: Vintage, one of the city’s best couture shops, this week and get an eyeful as the space is transformed into a feast for the senses.

Stylist and owner Brooke Dillon will play host to a number of her amazing art-minded friends and guests at “An Evening of Art” on Wednesday, November 10 at her Rittenhouse Square boutique from 6 – 9 p.m. From inspired music to stunning visual arts to culinary delights, the event will all take place at Dillon’s home, located in the same building as her specialty showroom full of single-piece fashion finds from around the globe.

Dillon’s featured exhibitors will truly transform the space from home to art haven. John Schenk will fill the walls with eye-catching triple exposure photography. Sarah Jean Berry will install mixed-media creations with feminine appeal. Local Magdalena Kosz will display abstract portraits and City Planter will accent all the pieces with stunning floral arrangements.

Dillon’s friend and featured artist Alp Sagnat, owner of boutique jewelry store Atelier Minyon in New York City and fan of names such as Katy Perry and Brooke Shields, will be bringing a collection of his handmade pieces for the special event.

The Katacomb: Vintage is located at 1514 Pine Street, 215.520.2911, www.thekatacomb.com. Call to RSVP, space is limited.
