Sunshine Moon Peking Pub Opens in Scottsdale

Open as of today, Sunshine Moon Peking Pub fills the space Bacon used to occupy in Scottsdale at Goldwater and Fifth Avenue. The new Asian restaurant is brought to us by husband and wife team Rich Sullivan and Dr. Julie Chandler, owners of the 5th and Wine restaurant in the Downtown Scottsdale Arts District.

Sullivan is also an investor in the Humble Pie restaurants in town, and he was one of the creators of the P.F. Chang’s China Bistro concept. Joining Sullivan and Chandler in their new venture are chef Emilio Morales and beverage expert Scott Yanni. Morales has previously served as the director of culinary for Sauce by Fox Restaurant Concepts, as well as been involved with the kitchens at P.F. Chang’s, Pei Wei and Sen of Japan in Sag Harbor, New York. Yanni has previously been involved with Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and is currently the wine director at 5th and Wine.

Sullivan and Chandler have described Sunshine Moon’s cuisine as pan-Asian with a good balance of traditional dishes and modern takes on classics. The restaurant has an open kitchen, a dining room with seating for 104, a 28-person wraparound bar and takeout service.

Sunshine Moon Peking Pub is located at 4175 N. Goldwater Blvd. in Scottsdale
