Italian Design Brand Brioni Appoints New CEO

The Italian luxury brand, Brioni has recently announced that its Mr. Francesco Pesci will be taking over as the company’s CEO, effective immediately.

“I am honored to be taking up the reins at Brioni, a company in which I have literally worked my way up from the bottom,” Pesci announced. “I would like to thank the company for the trust they have placed in me and to confirm to the group and its employees my determination to strengthen a global luxury brand that is the pride of Italian menswear.”

Born in Rome, with degrees in economics and business from Luiss Guido Carli University, Pesci began his career at Brioni in 1994. Over the past 16 years he has been a prominent member of the their team, holding several positions including director of sales, advisor for the brand’s distribution strategy in Asia, and as commercial director of the Brioni Group, for which he helped open stores in Barcelona, St. Petersburg, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai and Mexico City. “I remain personally committed to the continued growth of the Brioni brand and to our loyal international customers and partners around the world,” Pesci declared. “I especially look forward to further developing our commitment to the United States, which remains our largest single market.” And so are we.

The family-owned Brioni currently has five boutiques in the United States: Miami, Beverly Hills, Las Vegas and two in Manhattan.
