Arthur Sulzberger Jr. recently left his home base in New York and went to visit the West Bank city of Ariel for a PR campaign.

What Made Him Haute: Chairman and publisher of the New York Times has been running the paper’s day-to-day operations since 1992.

What Makes Him Haute Now: Sulzberger was invited to come to Ariel to tour several settlements for a PR campaign. Sulzberger was only in Israel for 24 hours and had a full schedule that gave him a whirlwind tour of Ariel. Sulzberger was introduced to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Palestinian counterpart Salam Fayyad. Yesha Council chairman Danny Dayan also met with Sulzberger. Places of interest Sulzberger visited were Barkan Industrial Park and the Ariel University Center of Samaria. The PR campaign was put together by the Yesha Council.
