It begins during their childhood and takes the reader all the way to the end of Komen’s fight with breast cancer. Before her sister dies, Brinker promises her to raise breast cancer awareness and aid in finding a cure. The memoir brings to life the passion behind Brinker’s determination to start a successful nonprofit organization in honor of her sister.
