What Made Them Haute: Recently honored with the Jay Malina Award for their lifetime achievements and notable contributions to the growth of the arts, entertainment, and hospitality industries in Miami-Dade County, the Estefans, in addition to being ridiculously talented crossover artists with decades-long careers, are actively involved in the betterment of our community. Their company, which was founded in Miami Beach in 1986, has grown into a global entertainment empire spanning across numerous industries.

What Makes Them Haute Now: In the latest 24-hour play charity on Broadway, Gloria Estefan acted and sang in a play to raise funds for the Urban Arts Partnership. The Urban Arts Partnership raises funds and supports the arts in the public school system. Gloria has never performed on Broadway, but no one could tell. She worked alongside Diane Neal, Ejiah Wood and Alicia Witt in the play titled I Think You’ll Love This One, written by Elizabeth Cruz Cortes. Charity work has always been a big part of Gloria and Emilio’s life, and this was just another creative way to give.
