Hakkasan is widely regarded as changing the dim sun scene in London. The Michelin-starred restaurant evokes old school Chinoiserie decadence while the open plan kitchen serves a variety of dim sum including scallops shumail, har gau, and shimeji dumplings.

Shanghai Blues is based in the Grade II listed Holborn Hall and is split into five distinct zones to heighten the authentic feel. If you are looking for a truly authentic dim sum experience and you do not live in Hong Kong, this is the place for you. The steamed dim sum is brought around on trolleys and is great for novices who can point and eat. The fare is traditional dim sum but be aware the trolley service stops at 17:30 making the weekend lunches the most popular.
