A place is always better seen from the top, especially a gorgeous city like San Diego.  In a place so full of visual beauty, let’s find the Top 5 views in our beautiful city!

1 Cabrillo National Monument

Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo got out of his boat in 1542 and became the first European to land in the West Coast, right here at San Diego Bay, and the view he must have taken in had to overwhelm him with the beauty he had found. Cabrillo National Monument is revered as one of the best harbor views in the world. They say that on a really crystal clear day in December, you will see a panorama stretching from Mexico to snowy mountains east of LA. But even on the least clear day, this view is breathtaking and amazing to all who come to look from this vantage point.

2 Bertrand at Mister A's

Bertrand at Mister A's is amazing for so many culinary reasons, and yet it's the view that gets them recognized just as often. Set atop the entire city, on the twelfth floor, with a panoramic glass windowed view inside, and sweeping balony outside, this view is hard to beat. One can sit at a table enjoying the incredible food and just staring out at the city all the way to the water. This design is no accident, and it's beauty is grand from this position.

3 Coronado Bay Bridge

Ok, this one is tricky because you can't actually stop on the Coronado Bay Bridge, but it doesn't matter due to the fact the your entire drive over this bridge is spent gawking. In what has to be one of the worst traffic accident decisions possible, this bridge gives a sweeping view of everything from Coronado to the Silver Strand to downtown San Diego. Drive as slowly as possible to try to really get a good look as your arch over the water and into the city, because from this position you can see the city as it's rarely seen while on land.

4 Balleen San Diego

Overlooking all of Mission Bay, Balleen is all about location. While enjoying your acclaimed food, you can sit outside on the balcony and just watch the activity of the entire Bay below, from boats sailing in to children running about on the sand. Located within the Paradise Point Resort and Spa, this restaurant was created with visual pleasure in mind, and they succeeded ten-fold in the views.

5 Sunset Cliffs

This view is all about the nothingness and enormity of the ocean. If you walk out onto the Sunset Cliffs and just stare, you will feel how very small you truly are, and how very massive the Pacific Ocean truly is. A popular spot for weddings for the obvious reaosn of the most amazing pictures imaginable, as well as a backdrop to your vows unmatched by any other location. These cliffs provide San Diego with one of the greatest spots to enjoy the view.
