Phoenix looks beautiful, day or night. We’ve got bright lights and hot nights, skyscrapers surrounded by urban hustle and bustle, and picturesque mountains and desert wildlife. Fancy a view to take it all in? Here are your Top 5.

1 Camelback Mountain

Ask the locals, and they'll all tell you there's no better view of Phoenix than that from the top of the city's landmark Camelback Mountain. Reaching the top is not for the feint of heart, however, and saying you've been to the top is something of a point of pride. The way up is more of a climb than a hike, although there are a number of different routes you can take. One thing's for sure, though, the exertion is well worth the view.

2 Phoenix Civic Space Park

The Civic Space Park is a wonder to behold, especially at night. The highlight is the neon illuminated wind sculpture piece designed by Janet Echelman. It's actually similar to a piece she created for the city of Porto, Portugal, and can be seen from various points in the downtown area. It's suspended 40 feet above the ground and is itself approximately 100 feet tall. Between it and the lit fountains and bright lights of downtown, the park offers visitors one pretty scene in the evenings.

3 Hyatt Regency Phoenix

The Hyatt Regency Phoenix has a prime location for views of this cosmopolitan city and its mountains, even offering panoramic views of the state capitol building and surrounding area from its famous revolving restaurant, The Compass. Stay here and we think you'll agree: there may be no place more luxurious to watch the sun rise or set over Phoenix.

4 Chase Tower

The tallest building in not just Phoenix but the whole state of Arizona, the Chase Tower is 483 feet tall and 40 stories high. The Arizona Club, the high-society dining club, has long met on the 37th and 38th floors, where the Valley's movers and shakers meet to discuss the good life. There used to be an observation deck at the top of the building, but unfortunately, it was closed many years ago when the building underwent renovations. Now to see the view from the top, you have to know people, if you know what we mean.
