Seeking an incredible spot to take in a sunset and Champagne toast? Hawaii has you covered. The truth is, we’re spoiled when it comes to spectacular sunset, ocean and mountain views. So selecting only five for the entire Aloha State was not an easy task. Instead, I decided to choose the top five restaurants with a view across the island chain. Here are my top five picks.

1 Big Island: Beach Tree

Known for their signature “barefoot elegance” style, Beach Tree offers a Hawaiian beach house feel with expansive ocean views. It’s possibly the best spot on the Big Island to take in the sunset while sipping a pre-dinner cocktail. And it’s great for lunch too. Beach Tree always provides a picture perfect Hawaiian view.

Beach Tree is located at 72-100 Ka'upulehu Dr., Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, www.fourseasons.com/hualalai/dining, 808.325.8000.

2 Oahu: House Without a Key

Located in the heart of the elegant Halekulani Hotel, this outdoor eatery combines incredible ambiance with tropical cocktails and island fare; it’s an ideal way to start or end your day in paradise. House Without a Key’s views of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach are a perfect compliment to the live Hawaiian music and hula dancing they offer in the evening hours. And, the outdoor lounge-like environment is also a great spot to take visiting guests for a memorable evening.

House Without a Key is located at 2199 Kalia Rd., www.halekulani.com/dining, 808.923.2311.

3 Maui: Merriman’s Kapalua

With sweeping ocean and spectacular mountain views, Merriman’s Kapalua doesn’t disappoint. It’s located on the cliffs between Kapalua Bay and the Napili Coast and offers the best view found in West Maui. Sit inside on the wrap-around lanai, or by the fire pits at sunset while enjoying locally sourced Hawaiian regional cuisine. Sip stellar wines chosen by the on-site sommelier, Jason Castle. Merriman’s is the ultimate choice for a special occasion, proposal or simply memorable Maui dining experience.

Merriman's Kapalua is located at 1 Bay Drive, Lahaina, Hawaii, www.merrimanshawaii.com, 808.669.6400.

4 Lanai: Ocean Grill

Its al fresco setting is the perfect place to enjoy a lunch between laps at the pool or cocktails as the sun goes down. The open-air Hawaiian-style bistro serves up light fare during the day and fresh local fish, free-range chicken and small-plate seafood entrees by night. At dinner, catch the sunset as the stars align.

Ocean Grill is located at 1 Manele Bay Rd., www.fourseasons.com/manelebay/dining, 808.565.2000.

5 Kauai: The St. Regis Bar

At the St. Regis Bar, take in one of the most superior views in Kauai while enjoying creative cocktails, innovative small plates and live jazz music. This Kauai hot spot offers picturesque views of Hanalei Bay where patrons can watch tow-in surfers during high swell season, a bevy of boaters and breathtaking sunset views. On Fridays at 6 p.m., the in-house sommelier even hosts a Champagne sabering as the sun dips into the bay.

The St. Regis Bar is located at 5520 Ka Haku Rd., Princeville, Hawaii, www.stregisprinceville.com/dining, 808.826. 9644.
