1 Henri

Sister and neighbor to the Gage, with the opening of Henri finally comes more good dining options in the Loop. Executive Chef Dirk Flanigan serves up French/American classics like lobster Wellington, short rib burgers, oysters mignonette, Dover sole and roast chicken.

2 Mastro’s Steakhouse

An import from Beverly Hills, we all know California does it bigger and flashier.  A celeb magnet for their prime steaks smothered in a secret 15-ingredient dry rub and served sizzling on 400-degree plates, the signature cuts include an 18 oz bone-in filet and 33oz chef's cut bone-in ribeye.

3 Chicago Cut Steakhouse

There’s something about ordering on an iPad that just makes dining that much more chic.Pair that with two steak-house veterans, a dazzling space along the Chicago River, a butcher and dry-aging room and you begin to see what all the fuss is about.

4 Sawtooth Restaurant and Lounge

As someone who could eat some variety of Asian cuisine everyday, the Japanese joints were beginning to seem like a dime a dozen. In stepped Sawtooth though to spice it up with some contemporary Vietnamese in a sexy lounge setting.

5 Rub BBQ Company

Probably the biggest trend in Chicago dining right now, BBQ joints are popping up so frequently you’d think we were south of the Mason-Dixon line. As one of the standouts, Rub hand-slathers their meats with a secret blend of 14 seasonings, and leaves them to rest in a chilled environment for 24 hours. This allows the spices to achieve full flavor before smoking.
