Tearing Down The WALL: The SoBe Hotspot Closes Its Doors

This Thursday, October 7th, one of Miami Beach’s hottest nightclubs, WALL at the W South Beach Hotel & Residences, closes its doors. That’s right; hot on the heels of their recent one-year anniversary fete, just celebrated this past July, the walls are coming down.

Temporarily, of course.

The closing, which will span a short four days (from the 7th-the 10th), comes as part of a redesign being orchestrated by co-owners Karim Masri and Nicola Siervo. The nightlife giants are known for having a penchant for the extra swanky, so it’s no surprise that they’d decide to up the ante at such a junior stage in the club’s short life. Who knows, perhaps they’re preparing for season at which time you can find the likes of Nadja Swarovski and Naomi Campbell lounging on the lounge’s couches. Couches that as of the 14th of October, when the club reopens, will be of an Anna Busta/Studio B-design and made of gold leather, no less.

Other crowd pleasers within the new space are sure to include: the LED backlit mirror picture frames that will frame what they call “WALL’s signature diamond motif;” a new DJ booth which promises to be the purveyor of better sounding beats, and Moooi-designed Raimond chandelier said to measure some 35-inches.

Another reason for the redesign could also be that the WALL family can’t pass up the chance at a party, or several.

To celebrate the new digs they’ll be showcasing a stellar line-up of DJ’s from Thursday, October 14th through Saturday, October 16th.

WALL is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 11PM to 4:30AM.
