Sam Nazarian and Photog Matthew Rolston Open the Redbury

Wednesday night the corner of Hollywood and Vine became the epicenter of Haute and Opulent.

Only Matthew Rolston – the master of chic themes (see his work in the likes of Interview Magazine, Vanity Fair, etc.) could put together such an amazing affair, inspired by that diva of decadence, Marie Antoinette. Rolston is creative director of The Redbury, and the man behind the decor – from the rugs to the turntables in the suites. Camp Freddy sang a few tunes, as did Macy Gray. Even a hottie from True Blood showed (aka, Sam Trammell). The hotel looks like a quasi-salon from the 19th century; a far cry (and a lot more comfy) than the sterile W Hotel just across the way. (I’m not saying it’s bad, it’s just I prefer my rooms dripping in Moulin Rouge red as opposed to American Gigolo grey. Sam Nazarian, the power behind the SBE throne, was the man of the moment though, toasting his new digs with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and gorgeous Dania Ramirez. Also in attendance, a random crew of Doug Reinhardt, Lance Bass (though not together) and Annalynne’s sis, Angel McCord.

And by the way, don’t forget L.A. people: The Academy Awards are just around the corner, and the Redbury? Perfect digs to set up camp on February 27th.
