During the month of October all W Hotels in Atlanta will host various events related to Breast Cancer Awareness month, complete with pink themes, party favors and special lighting. That’s right, all participating hotels will be illuminated with a special pink light on top of their buildings to show support for cancer survivors. The W Atlanta-Buckhead, W Atlanta-Perimeter, W Atlanta-Midtown and W Atlanta-Downtown each host a particular event that donates proceeds to the Young Survival Coalition of Atlanta. Be sure to attend a few functions and stand together in the fight to find a cure!
The inaugural event to launch the ThinksPINK campaign happened last night at the W Atlanta-Buckhead with Fox 5’s Stacey Elgin and Heather Branch from Star 94 serving as hosts. After a $10 donation, guests toasted to the commencement of events during the lighting ceremony. Delicious food was provided by popular Atlanta restaurant MARKET, who will also host “Girls Night Out” on the 21st and donate $1 from every three-course meal to YSC, and cute signature pink cocktails were flowing all night.
On October 12th, the W Atlanta-Perimeter will host a special screening of the 80s John Hughes classic film Pretty in Pink. What a perfect movie for the occasion, everyone loves a Molly Ringwald flick! Located out on the Savu restaurant patio, attendees are in for a special treat as all the food is pink-themed. Pink cupcakes, pink cucumber maki rolls, pink popcorn balls and pink grapefruit and avocado salad are among the tasty delights that you will want to marvel over before you take a bite. In addition, for every menu or cocktail item purchased, $1 will go directly to YSC.
The W Atlanta-Midtown gets in on the festivities on October 20th, when they host an event that your four-legged friend will love. Pups in Pink brings out all of Atlanta’s cutest dogs, as personalities from V-103, davefm and Atlanta & Company are on-hand to commentate all the excitement. Food will be provided by Spice Market featuring another adorable pink-inspired menu. This is sure to be a family affair and Whiskey Blue and Living Room take $1 for every cosmopolitan cocktail order and put it towards YSC.
Things wrap up with the big grand finale celebration on October 27th, with Wollipops, Cupcakes & Cocktails Oh My! at the W Atlanta-Downtown. Local media personalities will be there to celebrate the success and future progress of the YSC and the Breast Cancer Awareness Association. PUR Minerals make-up artists will be on-site to give you the perfect pink pout to ensure you look your best for the evening. Once your tummy starts to grumble, food from the amazing BLT Steak and sweets from Gigi’s Cupcakes will deliciously feed your appetite. After you dance the night away, book a special pink pedicure with Bliss Salon and receive 20% off. Drinkshop concocts signature cocktails and a $1 from sales will also benefit YSC. One last perk to participating in ThinksPINK events, guests at any of the W Atlanta hotels can purchase a special event package starting at $129 a night that includes: complimentary parking, $10 donation YSC and two ThinksPINK cocktails.
