Nights on the Piazza at Woodruff Arts Center

Come experience the best artistic endeavors Atlanta has to offer. Every Thursday through October 28, the Woodruff Arts Center presents Nights on the Piazza, a free concert series from some of the Southeast’s most talented musical acts. Don’t hesitate to partake of this wonderful event that is perfect for date night, an evening out with friends or a family-fun outing. Rock the night away and dance til your feet hurt!

This popular concert series features a different musical act every Thursday and this week October 14, there are two acts that are definitely worth your interest. At 7 p.m., Tin Cup Prophette hits the stage with her infectious brand of music that combines jazz, bluegrass, dixieland and rock n’ roll. This New York born and bred artist, who currently lives in Athens, Georgia, has dabbled in virtually every corner of music. From arranging music for films, composing for modern dance performances and touring vigorously on the Irish music circuit, Tin Cup Prophette (born Amanda Kapousouz) is a true industry professional.

Later in the evening at 8 p.m., Athens own Venice is Sinking brings their eclectic musical offering to fans and enthusiasts. Their music has a little something for everyone to enjoy and appreciate. They play space rock, Americana, orchestral pop and slowcore. The five-piece ensemble has an admitted “hard to pin down” sound, but their execution is so deliberately beautiful that one can’t help but enjoy each song played.

In addition to musical performances, attendees will also enjoy food and beverages provided by Legendary Partners of Atlanta who promise several delicious dinner and tapas options along with a great selection of spirits.

Woodruff Arts Center is located at 1280 Peachtree St. NE 404.733.4200
