Sure, Morton’s is a chain. However, its Honolulu location does things a little bit differently making this steakhouse a real stand out. Located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center, Morton’s offers a stellar daily “pau hana” (a.k.a. happy hour) with complimentary mini-steak sandwiches and half-price wines. Also, like all Morton’s locations, steak lovers can indulge in a three-course dinner for two for only $109.
3 Wolfgang's Steakhouse
Not to be confused with the other famous Wolfgang, Zwiener’s steakhouses can be found across New York, Beverly Hills and in Waikiki. This restaurant wins raves for the dry-aging room, the first one of its kind on Oahu. And the meat is butchered to order. Also on the menu is an array of seafood, salads, grilled vegetables and sides. A glass wine case lets guests choose their bottles of wine versus ordering off of a traditional menu. Take the opportunity to order a steak for two, three, or even four people. And, guests can even bring in their own local grass-fed beef to be aged in Wolfgang’s dry-aging box.
4 BLT Steakhouse
BLT is the new kid on the block at the base of Trump Hotel Waikiki. The modern American steakhouse offers up some serious side dishes like creamed spinach with nutmeg, leek and potato hash browns, jalapeno mashed potatoes, and sticky lemongrass rice. On the steak entrée side of things, choose from hanger, filet, rib eye or porterhouse dressed with béarnaise, Roquefort, peppercorn or chimichurri sauces. And, if fish is your thing, try the Dover sole in soy caper brown butter or the crispy Cantonese-style fish for two. Either one will melt in your mouth.
5 Blazin' Steaks
More of a nouveau “chop chain” than a classic steakhouse, Blazin’ Steaks is the place for a filet on the run.
