On October 13, 2010 Mirassou Winery hosted a special Sun Room Session wine tasting party at the CVS/pharmacy LPGA Challenge. The event took place on the tented 18th fairway of the Blackhawk Country Club, located in Danville, California.
The Mirassou Sun Room Session was hosted by winery owner David Mirassou. In attendance were LPGA golfers Christina Kim, Angela Stanford, Brittany Lincicome and Nicole Hage. Mirassou worked to match the four LPGA stars with different varietals of wine based on their personality profiles. Guests were then invited to taste the wine associated with their favorite LPGA golfer. Also in attendance were LPGA Commissioner Michael Whan and former LPGA commissioner emeritus Charles Mechem Jr., who resides in Tiburon.
The Mirassou Sun Room Sessions give LPGA fans an opportunity to interact with their favorite golfers in a casual and relaxed environment. Each week, Mirassou will be interviewing different LPGA players as well as assigning them to their own varietal of wine. For those who can’t attend the events in person, videos and photos will be posted on the LPGA website throughout the season.
