On Monday, Sept. 27, the renowned San Francisco hair stylist Joseph Cozza celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Joseph Cozza Salon with a lavish soiree at his novel landmark location in the heart of San Fran’s style district.
The new 9,300 square-foot salon (now the largest in San Francisco) was designed by Brand + Allen Architects and features floor-to-ceiling windows, a large open space or all hair styling and with separate makeup, nail and even full-service skin-care and spa rooms.
Cozza couldn’t contain his excitement at the grand opening, as he exclaimed, “This is thrilling for me because we are opening this new salon in the location where I spent the origins of my career as a hair stylist. We have come full circle, but my vision remains the same now as it was then — find the most talented people to provide our clients with the highest quality services, and make sure everyone is enjoying themselves.” During the evening, guests enjoyed “Cozzatinis” and “Cozzapolitans” in his honor.
In addition to the Joseph Cozza Salon being known as the top hair-straightening salon in the country, Cozza himself is one of the industry’s most well-known stylists. Some of his clients include Caroline Kennedy, Kathy Bates and Arianna Huffington.
The salon also boasts a total of 85 dedicated and talented employees — a mixture of stylists, estheticians, makeup artists and manicurists. Cozza’s co-owner and business manager Joe Bisazza added, “Our talented staff is the heart of our salon. Most employees who come here stay for a long time, and our customers appreciate their expertise, skill and the longstanding personal relationships they’ve developed.”
The new salon also features a “Beauty Bar” with luxury hair and skin-care products. The bar will have experts on-hand to help customers choose the right products.“ The salon also has luxury like organic tea and coffee, warm towels and iPods for customers to use during their visits.
“My vision has always been to offer our clients a fun and upbeat but luxurious atmosphere where they can relax, refresh and escape the city’s hectic pace for a bit,” says Cozza, “We’ve created an ambience where guests can enjoy themselves and be pampered like nowhere else.”
