For nine years in a row, the Angelitos de Oro have partnered with South Coast Plaza for one of the most anticipated events of the year. Combining giving and the gratitude of retail therapy, the Angelitos Card is one fundraiser that keeps giving again and again.
Starting Oct. 14, you’ll be able to purchase an Angelitos Card – think of it as a golden ticket or a gift from the angels, because it gets you something that few people get, 20% off at participating boutiques and restaurants at South Coast Plaza. Through Oct. 20, you get a week of unlimited discounts on full-priced merchandise at shops like Yves Saint Laurent, Brooks Brothers, Jimmy Choo and more. Gucci and Georgio Armani are participating, too, along with Barney’s Co-Op and Balenciaga. Each store might have their own restrictions (you can’t get a Bottega Veneta exotic or limited edition, for example) but there’s plenty to be bought and you can do it as often as you like.
Restaurants are participating include Charlie Palmer, AnQi and Antonello, so if you need to refuel, flash that card and you’ll get the same 20% discount. The card costs only $60 and the entire amount will go straight to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County (Angelitos de Oro is one of their auxiliaries) and is tax deductible. The charity works with at-risk youth, partnering them with one-on-one mentors.
One of Orange Counties most loved charities, Big Brothers Big Sisters has raised over 4 million dollars through Angelitos de Oro. Helping over 1,500 students a year through at-school programs and community groups, Big Brothers Big Sisters increases self-esteem, positive attitudes towards learning and more. So shop knowing you’re helping one of the largest mentoring organizations in the United States.
