Bob Sinclar to DJ Live at Gypsy Bar

While LA and Vegas DJs have been known to make the rounds in Boston, rarely does a big name European DJ come to town. Boston is often passed up for New York, Montreal or Miami, and truth be told, there isn’t always the taste for the Euro sound in Boston as there once was.  But, with the appearance of arguably one of the top ten DJs in the world, Grammy nominated Bob Sinclar, Boston is in for a real aural delight.  Sinclar is slated to DJ live on Friday, October 15th to celebrate Gypsy Bar’s 6th Anniversary.

Sinclar’s sound, while based in house, dabbles in so many other genres that he is sure to offer a flavor of something you have been craving in the over pop-infused Boston club landscape.  The French born Sinclar is a record producer,  remixer, DJ and co-owner of Yellow Productions record label. Later this month he has a new release coming out with Jamaica born Sean Paul entitled “Tik Tok.” He is also well known in the states through his affiliation with Playboy. He has appeared in Playboy Magazine (US and Italy)  and mixed the album “A Night at the Playboy Mansion” one of the biggest selling CDs in the house music genre.

Kudos goes to Gypsy Bar for the foresight to bring the DJ megastar in to celebrate six years as still one of the hottest clubs in the city. It’s sleek interior and unique layout of elongated bar up front and centralized dance floor surrounded by VIP seating out back makes for an up close and personal experience with the DJ situated just above the bar like a preacher at the pulpit. The evening is sure to be packed with industry folks from nightlife and the local music scene alike who are well aware of Sinclar’s musical status and know too well how rare it is to see him in the intimacy of a club like Gypsy Bar.

Gypsy Bar, however, is no stranger to celebrity. Top Vegas and LA DJs have made Gypsy Bar their home in Boston including the late DJ AM, DJ Vice and Steve Aoki. Celebrity guest appearances have included Kim Kardashian, Tommy Lee, The Pussycat Dolls, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and Heidi Klum in the past.

Tickets are being pre-sold for $20 and are available by calling Gypsy Bar.
