Beautiful Abounds at the Boyds’ La Bella Vita Event

Ah, la bella vita. The beautiful life. Stunning clothing, fine wine, spicy little red sports cars. Put them together with some of the city’s most beautiful people and you have an evening dripping with divine decadence. On Thursday, September 30, haute haberdasher Boyds and the Italian Trade Commission (ITC) joined forces to host La Bella Vita, an evening full of everything lovely and, of course, Italian.

Boyds decked their window displays with the latest Italian fashions, while the inside of the shop received some serious eye candy in the forms of hip little Vespas and smooth Maseratis and Lamborghinis courtesy of F.C. Kerbeck. Fall and winter designs from the boot’s best brands, like Armani Collezioni, Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Love Moschino, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo and Etro, kept the vibe going on all of the store’s three levels.

A special live performance by the Philadelphia Opera Company filled the air with Italian tunes, while DJs kept the beat going through out the evening.

Acqua Panna, Philadelphia’s own Bluecoat American Dry Gin, Marini & Rossi, Stella Artois and other sponsors kept guests’ glasses full, while DiBruno Brothers matched drinks with rich Italian cheese selections.

The invitation-only event was part of The Philadelphia Collection, the city’s 10-day celebration of fashion, and attended by a number of Philadelphia area names, including Marc Sommers, Mike Jerrick and Nicole Cashman.
