1 Magnum's Cigars, Wine & Spirits

The premier cigar lounge in the Valley, Magnum’s is classy and elegant with a dignified atmosphere, but also a place where you can feel comfortable kicking back and relaxing. The 450-square-foot, walk-in humidor there boasts a wide selection of cigars from all over the world, and if you like, order a fine beer, wine or other spirit to enjoy along with it. The lounge menu of spirits is impressive.

2 Arizona Biltmore Resort

What better setting to evoke the essence of old-time formal elegance than the Arizona Biltmore, with its Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired design and long history involving William Wrigley, Jr. of the Wrigley Gum empire, and other industry magnates, heads of state, and celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe. Purchase your cigar of choice from the resort’s exceptional humidor or bring your own, then stroll the meticulously cared for grounds, featuring well-trimmed hedges, fire pits, fountains and views of Piestewa Peak.

3 Habanos Torres Cigar Factory and Private Club

Even Timothy Torres, owner of the Habanos Torres Cigar Factory and Private Club, can admit that maybe his Mesa club isn’t the most “luxurious indoor smoking facility,” but we can assure you, if you’re a true cigar enthusiast who’s into the goods more than the status, Torres is your man.  A fifth-generation tabaquero (tobacco blender and cigar roller) from Cuba, he creates his own brand of cigars in his cozy downtown Mesa lounge, where customers can sit on comfortable couches and watch Torres roll cigars in a cedar-walled humidor. He’ll even roll one to your order, right then and there; it’s his specialty. You’ll find no commercial brands here (Torres makes by hand every cigar he sells), but trust us, you won’t miss them.

4 Onyx Bar and Lounge at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North

Serious players should head to the Four Seasons Resort, where the Onyx Bar and Lounge features a sophisticated patio space and a full menu of cocktails and small plates. At the end of your meal, order the Nightcap, a pairing of Richard Hennessy with Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac, and a 1955 pre-embargo Partagas. It'll set you back $500, but it'll make you feel like a king. (Or a dictator?) If that's not quite your style, there's a great selection of not quite so expensive but still quality cigars.

5 Axis Radius

Actually two nightclubs joined by a glass catwalk, Axis Radius is known to be a popular place to groove long into the night and enjoy an evening of drinks with friends. But there may be some who aren’t aware that Axis Radius also has an upscale cigar bar. Call the club to see what they have in, then book your VIP table and prepare to party and puff the night away.
