Orange Juice and Biscuits Turns One, Hosted by Rolando Santana

One of my favorite bloggers and partners in crime for the event scene, Jonathan Valdez, threw a birthday party for his blog OrangeJuiceandBiscuits.com. The party was graciously hosted in the studio of designer Rolando Santana, whose work has stirred quite the glowing WWD review and popped up on quite the celebrity red carpet list lately, including Alex McCord and Tinsley Mortimer.

Karen Biehl, Matt Wayne, Eli the Chihuahua, Grace Forster,  Ashley Speranza and Chris DaSilva arrived with camera crew in tow for their latest reality tv show set to air later this winter on NYC Life.

Attendees included publicists, media, and haute trendsetters, such as Nora Walsh of the Pierre Hotel, Jessica Seasholtz of the Mandarin Oriental, Haley Turner of the World Gold Council, Michelle Joni Lapidos from Spa Week, Dawn del Russo, John Simon, Melissa Davis, JD Breen of Hanky Panky, Artist Serge Strosberg, Joey Hodges of popchips, and more. Though no Tropicana or Pilsbury were in sight, guests enjoyed mini Crumbs cupcakes,  1947 beer and popchips.

Midway through the soiree, Sarah Charness took the audience captive with her haute pink electric violin.  The performance, succinct and on point created ripples of excitement through the already flushed guest list as they roared with applause.

Official Hank, who I recently raved about at Le Chat Noir sang sweet melodies with an edge, simply fitting to accompany the the mini Crumbs cupcakes and 1947 beer.

I for one am truly excited about what’s in store for the upcoming year for OrangeJuiceandBiscuits.com, an ultimate pop-culture lifestyle resource and certainly the most important meal of the day.
