Let’s Eat: Inman Park Restaurant Week Begins

Atlanta culinary addicts have been treated very well in the last few months. July saw the city hosting its annual Downtown Atlanta Restaurant Week, while last week marked the end of Midtown Restaurant Week. However, just when you foodies thought all the fun was over, think again because today kicks off the beginning of Inman Park’s own restaurant celebration. From now until Sunday, feel free to indulge in the finest cuisine that east Atlanta has to offer as Inman Park Restaurant Week deliciously returns. Elastic waist-band pants are strongly suggested.

Here’s how it works: three-course meals from 13 participating restaurants at three varying price points, $15, $25 and $35 respectively. This allows you to sample different fare from some, or all, and round out the overall culinary experience.  In the $15 group we have Fritti, Pure Taqueria, The Albert and North Highland Pub. Following is the crowded $25 group with too many to name them all, but a few worth mention are: Wisteria, Park’s Edge, Sotto, Sotto and Sauced. Popular Atlanta Chef Kevin Rathbun is a dual participant, (his eatery Rathbun’s is featured in the $25 range) his restaurant Kevin Rathbun Steak is the sole member of the $35 club, assuring his offering is something deliciously divine.

The food is the subject, but the cause is the star. Inman Park Restaurant Week benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank and their Atlanta‘s Table project, in which each participating restaurant will offer $1 raffle tickets whose proceeds go directly to ACFB. The lucky raffle winner and 30 of their friends will receive an exclusive meal from Shaun’s Restaurant. In addition, all other Restaurant Week participants will prepare hors d’oeuvres and serve various beverages to the winner. So, generously indulge in great food and spirits for a worthy charity all week long and experience why Atlanta is one of the South’s leading culinary hotspots.
