Haute Atlanta: Shopping For A Cause

Generally, we can’t ever resist our favorites from Tory Burch, Diane Von Furstenberg and Lanvin at Tootsies. But when the proceeds from our purchases go to a good cause, well there really is no excuse not to spend. Tonight, our friend Sona Chambers (who many of us got to know when she was raising money for Jane Fonda’s G-CAPP), will be hosting this private shopping party to benefit Humanitarian Aid Relief Fund (HART-US) founded by Baroness Caroline Cox from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tootsies.

Sona has managed to gather a fabulous host committee for tonight’s shopping party, which will include a trunk show by local Nigerian-born designer Uche, Grey Goose cocktails and some, Hors d’oeuvres by our new favorite Phipps Italian Steakhouse Davio’s Atlanta.

Even if you are saving your shopping juice for Friday’s Fashion’s Night Out, you still should stop by to mix and mingle with Baroness Caroline Cox. Founder & CEO of HART, this global humanitarian and winner of the Mother Teresa Award Caroline Cox will be at this party along with Atlanta’s Michele Caplinger, Chloe Taylor Brown, Ginny Brewer and many others who have gracially signed on to host this evenings benefit.

The party tonight, Sept. 8, is just a precursor to Saturday’s (Sept 11) Dancing With the Hart Starstaking place at Daza Dance Atlanta. This much anticipated dance-off, headed by Atlanta social swan and philanthropist Joanne Chesler-Gross is a sold out event. Considering all the other events happening this coming weekend, that is very impressive.

See you tonight for the shopping party at Tootsies. If you plan to attend, make sure to RSVP at RSVP@lizlapiduspr.com

Tootsies is located at 3400 Around Lenox Drive. For more information about HART-US, check out their site.
