Just last month Christian Louboutin made a special appearance in Beirut to personally open his new boutique in the Beirut Souks, one of the fastest growing commercial and lifestyle centers in Lebanon. The launch of the new boutique caused quite a stir as the renowned woman’s shoe designer personally signed his beautifully crafted pumps for a crowd full of fashionably dressed fans.
At 1000 square feet the new boutique located on the prestigious Fakhry Bey Street is an incomparable haven for Louboutin shoes unmatched in the Middle East. Divided into two spaces, the mezzanine level offers women day wear and traditional Louboutin styles while the first floor is dedicated to fancy evening wear.
Designed by Household, a London-based design consultancy, the new boutique presents Louboutin’s magnificent world of shoes in a decor inspired by his love for Middle Eastern aesthetics. The designers have incorporated custom-made chandeliers, Arabic printed cornices, and bespoke upholstered furniture. There is also a gallery wall with images of Christian Louboutin, his family, friends and various travels. The entire experience is like entering into another world, not solely inspired by fashion but by culture and art.
“The Beirut launch is significant because there’s a very sophisticated Middle Eastern Client who wants the very best footwear for every occassion and they want it presented in a space that resonates with the new world that is fast emerging in the Middle East while staying true to their customs. The photos, the facets of the store and the collections have all been handpicked by me with the Lebanese client in mind,” said Louboutin.
The Christian Louboutin boutique is one of quite a few scheduled expansions in the region for the designer this year. Just yesterday was the opening of the Louboutin boutique at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai and very shortly another store will launch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
