Are you ready for the 2010 edition of fashion’s biggest party of the year? The second week of September, fashionistas the world over will be celebrating the style community as part of Fashion’s Night Out, and you can make your own fashion statement right here in the Valley on Friday, Sept. 10 at Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Fashion Square.
The fun begins at 6 p.m. at Scottsdale Fashion Square with participating retailers hosting in-store events, trunk shows, informal modeling, fall trends showcases, tasty nibbles and beverages. Among the festivities, Ann Taylor will be hosting a DJ and a fashion show each hour, and plenty of stores will be offering champagne and one-night-only discounts. Shoppers will receive a special gift with their purchase at stores Tous and BCBGMAXAZRIA, among others, and The Body Shop will be giving free five-minute makeovers. Don’t miss the mini cupcakes at Ted Baker London, where they’ll also be having a contest for a $200 gift certificate. There will also be food and drinks on special at Fred’s inside Barneys New York and at Marcella’s Italian Kitchen for when you need to take breaks in between all the shopping.
At Kierland, there will be appetizers, drinks, desserts, trunk shows, live music, exclusive discounts, raffle prizes and more from 6 to 9 p.m., and beginning at 5 p.m., you’ll be able to enjoy VIP prix fixe menus at Morton’s, The Green House and NoRTH throughout the evening. Stores participating in Fashion’s Night Out include Eileen Fisher, French Connection, Michael Kors, Coach, 7 For All Mankind and many others.
