Photos From Fashion’s Night Out

On Friday, September 10, fashionistas from across the globe joined together for one night to celebrate fashion. Aventura Mall and more than 50 fashion retailers offered customers informal modeling, cocktail receptions, trunk shows, fashion previews, gifts with purchase, styling sessions, shopping incentives, contests and more.

Dozens of models hit the runway in Center Court to strut their stuff in looks from two of Aventura Mall’s newest and hottest retailers, William Rast, the New America denim culture brand founded by Trace Ayala and Justin Timberlake, and progressive fashion and sportswear brand J. Lindeberg.

“Following the fashion show, the William Rast store experienced nine times its usual traffic for a Friday night as customers shopped the new fall collections, limited edition eyewear and footwear,” said William Rast Store Manager Jesse Nogi. “It was an amazing way to gain brand exposure and to kick off our first store here on the East Coast.”

Thousands of shoppers sipped, socialized and scored some fabulous deals at their favorite stores, such as Bloomingdale’s, Anthropologie, AX Armani Exchange, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Boss Hugo Boss, Guess, Herve Leger, J.Crew, Michael Kors and Tommy Hilfiger. They posed in photos with famed shoe designer Steve Madden at Nordstrom while dancing to beats by DJ Jana. AtFaçonnable, shoppers noshed on appetizers from The Grill on the Alley and checked out the new collection of “modern elegance.” Adriano Goldschmied offered an exclusive AG Gift Bag for those who purchased a pair of jeans.  Many customers snapped up apparel from the FNO collection all over the mall with proceeds going to the NYC AIDS Fund.

Many shoppers previewed Macy’s fall fashion collection with host Nick Verreos from TV’s Project Runway and enjoyed a special appearance by the new face of Papi Underwear, Mr. Venezuela 2007 Leonardo Corredor. Rhea Brown, Vice President and General Manager of Macy’s at Aventura Mall said, “All in all a great event!” Here are some shots from the shindig.
