The language of love resonates in France, but if what you love is French food and vin, then you won’t have to travel any further than La Riviera, where la bonne cuisine meets Sofitel Miami’s upscale French restaurant. De-mystifying the food-wine relationship, La Riviera hosts Sofitel Miami’s Wine Pairing Dinner Series on the fourth Thursday of every month.
“We wanted to bring French wine and food to South Florida, and each Wine Pairing Dinner Series is created to highlight this authentic French experience,” Executive Chef Pierre Sudre says. “Guests can expect to see an innovative menu each month and be able to try new, exciting wines of all different types.”
Each month Chef Sudre, a native of South France who gives French cuisine a contemporary twist, creates a special meal with delicately paired wines; This month, the classic French bistro menu includes homemade crab accras and aioli dip, marinated Scottish smoked salmon served with cold fingerling potato salad, and pear-amisu. Broaden your world of sophistication with the knowledge of food and wine and the ways in which the two complement each other.
Wine connoisseurs will be on hand explaining the wines, so that guests will be able to pair food and wine in their own homes. Dinner reception begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by a four-course menu with expertly paired wine flights.
