Known for their imagination and style, TAG Heuer, the luxury Swiss watch brand, will celebrate its 150th anniversary on Thursday, Aug. 19. The event will pay tribute to its innovative spirit with an Odyssey of Pioneers cocktail party, and a timepiece exhibition at The Temple House in Miami Beach. The event will include many well-known celebrities such as Carlos Gomez from The Glades, Gabrielle Anwar from Burn Notice, Jean-Christophe Babin, the president and CEO of TAG Heuer, Jeffrey Donovan from Burn Notice, and Philippe Alluard, president of LVMH Watch and Jewelry Division, among others.
As a benefit, guests will receive a sneak peek of significant historical and current TAG Heuer merchandise that symbolize the brand’s fondness for “revolutionizing timekeeping.”
Perhaps one of the most anticipated features of the event is the unveiling of the TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster. In celebration of TAG Heuer’s 150th anniversary, the brand came together with Tesla Motors Inc. to develop the unparalleled TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster. The sports car perfectly complements the timepiece; the car is fully electric and emissions-free while the latter is a limited-edition, one-fifth second stopwatch and a TAG Heuer Meridiist communications device.
This spectacular event commemorates the 12th stop that the TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster has made worldwide. Initiating the event in Basel, Switzerland, was Leonardo Dicaprio, who is also the TAG Heuer brand ambassador. Since then, the TAG Heuer Tesla Roadster has made stops in Monaco, the Great Wall of China, and India. It will have passed three continents at the Odyssey’s culmination event.
