If there’s one thing about Chicagoans, it’s that we love our food. Especially the meat. And a Chicago burger is bigger, beefier and with more accoutrements than you ever thought possible. Though an official Chicago Dog is very specific (no ketchup!), burgers are allowed more creative freedom and man do these spots hit the mark as masterpieces. Mmm beefy.
1 DMK Burger Bar
Chef Michael Kornick of MK fame would not steer you wrong at DMK Burger Bar, his newest endeavor. With high end meats like lamb and prosciutto and Colorado lamb, these creations are piled high with artisan ingredients like fried eggs, green chile portalbella and feta. We would support any number on the menu.

5 M Burger
New on the scene and short for Michigan Avenue Burger, the joint is already so packed they’re expanding to a second locale. Oddly enough, the first location is in the middle of Tru’s kitchen, replacing their old chef's table. What can we say, it’s all in the secret sauce.
