West Elm Event Showcased Fall Home Furnishings in Support of DIFFA

West Elm in Mockingbird Station knows how to pimp your crib. Their collection of elegant, simple, modern furnishings look just as good in an Uptown condo as they do in a sprawling Highland Park tudor, so it’s no wonder they are a Dallas favorite. Of course,  just like any other type of fashion, interior design has seasons as well, which is why West Elm decided to throw an evening soiree to celebrate their new Fall lines. This week, a $20 donation, 10 percent of which was donated to DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids) earned attendees a 10 percent discount at West Elm, along with a discount at a slew of other participating Mockingbird Station stores, like 25 percent off at Gap, 20 percent at hip shoe spot Centre and more.

Door prizes were donated by The Angelika Theatre, Movida boutique, bittano, Hyena’s Comedy Nightclub and Michael Raymond Salon, while bite sized morsels like spiced chicken kebabs and gourmet pizzas were graciously donated by Deux, Urban Taco, Rockfish and Trinity Hall Irish Pub. Cocktails by Texas-born Hudson Ferus vodka as well as wine and bubbly by Barefoot Wine were sipped as guests mingled and shopped for haute home wares. Although there are many lines debuting their new collection for Fall at West Elm, the big news here is that the store now offers customized furniture, so you can mix and match your favorite styles and fabrics. Choose from 26 new upholstery designs to ensure your sofa, couch or chair not only matches what you already have at home, but truly represents your unique persona.
