The Webster Presents “Surf The Webster”

From July 15 to August 31 2010, the Webster, a 20,000 square foot luxury multi-brand fashion boutique located on Collins Ave. in the heart of South Beach, will transform their the ground floor into “Surf the Webster,” a concept by creative consultant Timothee Verrecchia and the Webster. “Surf the Webster” will inspire and educate consumers on the surf culture and its influence on the Florida region. In keeping with the spirit of this culture, the Websterwill donate 10 percent of its proceeds to benefit the Surfrider Foundation.

“Surf the Webster” will be the non-stop shop for everything surf inspired, from special pieces from acclaimed stylist Lisa Marie Fernandez, bathing suits from Tori Praver, surfboards from Baron Wells and original prints from pro surfer Daniel Fuller, in addition to a wide array of books, surfboards, and accessories. During this time, the Webster will be holding educational talks and panels at “Surf the Webster,” coordinated with the Surfrider Foundation. It will become a meeting place for surfers and their enthusiasts. On display will be an exhibition of collected images from surfers around the world, dating from their personal experiences and visions of the world through their eyes, in addition to a curated history of vintage surfboards courtesy of the Surfrider Foundation.

The opening will take place tomorrow, July 15, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. during Miami Swimwear Week. In a collaborative effort with AB Hotels, guests will be shuttled from the Webster to the Standard Hotel to watch vintage surf films in their expansive pool area beginning at 10 p.m. The shuttle will run until midnight between the Webster and The Standard Hotel. Cocktails are kindly provided by fenom Modern Absinthe.
