The stats: Born in New York City; has lived in Miami for 17 years; currently resides in Sunny Isles Beach

Why he loves Miami: It’s an international city that brings people together from around the world, with beautiful weather.

When it comes to prestigious properties in South Florida, Gil Dezer is the name to know. Not only is he the youngest developer of luxury high-rise residential and condo-hotel developments in the country, but also one of the largest oceanfront property owners in Sunny Isles Beach. Dezer and his father, Michael, own more than 27 acres of prime oceanfront property Collins Avenue from 158th Street to 191st Street, which is arguably one of the largest holdings of beachfront property owned and developed in the state. Most of this property is earmarked for redevelopment as mid- and high-rise luxury condominiums, condo-hotels, hotels, and rental communities.

Dezer teamed up with Donald Trump to create the Trump Grande Ocean Resort and Residences, the largest development of its kind in Sunny Isles history. Dezer has taken on the role of its acting president, and in return has been awarded the Platinum Personal Achievement Award for Sales Director of the Year for the past three consecutive years by the Annual Builders Association of South Florida (BASF) and The Herald/el Nuevo Herald in Florida’s BEST Awards.

Dezer is the former president and current honorary member of the Developers & Builders Alliance (DBA); a member of the Aventura Marketing Council; one of the founders of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation; and a Young President of the Miami Heart Institute. He also plays a role in various additional organizations.
