Dive into These Miami Fashion Week Events Open to the Public

This weekend, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim will take over South Beach. It seems like every hotel, club, and restaurant is holding some sort of fashion shows, parties, or event to get in on the action. While many of the weekend’s events are invitation only, we’ve managed to put together a list of the hautest things to do this weekend. No VIP badge required!

All of the official MBFW Shows will be held at The Raleigh Hotel. While they are exclusively for industry professionals, you can still feel like you’re a part of it. Simply swing by The Raleigh’s Martini Bar every day from 4 to 8 p.m. to take advantage of their SEVEN Happy Hour, where you can enjoy $7 martinis and $7 hors d’oeuvres. 1775 Collins Ave.

The number seven seems to be a theme in South Beach. On Thursday and Friday night, you can stop by Cafeina Restaurant for the “7 for $7” Happy Hour between 5 and 8 p.m. Enjoy half-priced drinks and a selection of seven signature menu items for only $7. 297 Northwest 23rd St.

All weekend long, join the Swimwear Association of Florida at the Delano Hotel from 6 to 9 pm where you can enjoy Pommery Apanage Champagne half-off at Rose Bar and Bacardi Mojitos half-off at Pool Bar.  1685 Collins Ave.

Strap on your swankiest sandals and join in for some poolside partying at The Gansevoort Hotel Rooftop Pool both Friday and Saturday afternoons, from noon to 4 p.m. Friday’s fiesta celebrates Ed Hardy swimwear, while Saturday’s will honor True Religion Swim. Also on Saturday, from 3 to 5 p.m. Kendra Wilkinson of E’s hit reality shows The Girls Next Door and Kendra will be signing copies of her new book Sliding into Home.  377 Collins Ave.

After a long day of beach fun, treat yourself to a fabulous spa manicure and pedicure at the grand opening of the luxurious eco-friendly NailBar in Midtown on Friday at 8 p.m. The salon features over 200 organic nail colors, and state-of-the-art spa chairs that complete with iPad and iPod holders to control music selections.  3301 NE 1st Ave., Ste. 106; www.midtownnailbar.com

If lounging poolside starts to get old, head over to The Beach Club at the Gansevoort on Sunday where the sixth annual Seven Tiki Beach Ball Festival will be taking place. Watch in amazement as your favorite SoBe bars, clubs, and restaurants compete in grade school field-day events like tug of war, dodge ball, and relays. Event starts at 2:30 pm and will go until 7 p.m.
