Tony, Tony, Tony

For Arizonans who aren’t lucky enough to be taking part in all the excitement in person, ASU Gammage and Tony Award Productions will be hosting an official Tony Viewing Party in Tempe, where guests can walk their own special red carpet and join in the fun.

On June 13, partygoers will pour into ASU’s Gammage theater to watch the LIVE 2010 Tony Awards telecast from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Start picking out your tux or ballgown now, as there will be red carpet fun and excitement beginning at 4 p.m. Share the spotlight with local celebrities and special Las Vegas Broadway guests while members of the paparazzi snap away. Once inside, each guest will receive a copy of the official Tony Playbill, the very same one that will be passed out among attendees of the NYC event.

At 5 p.m., the live simulcast will begin, allowing those at the Gammage to view the awards ceremony prior to its local airing on CBS 5 at 7 p.m. Tickets, which went on sale May 6, are available at the ASU Gammage box office and through Ticketmaster.com. Seating is reserved. Tickets are also available through the box office only for the combined experience of the viewing party and a V.I.P. post-show dinner. No word yet, however, on how many guests plan on singing along with Green Day and Glee cast members Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison, who will all be among the many performers that evening.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of what promises to once again be the biggest night of the Broadway season.
