Learning to #Signoff with Michelle Joni Lapidos

This past week internet week hit NYC by storm… A portal of the latest and greatest in how to be faster, smarter, and just plain better in social media and engagement on the web.

However, dear friend Michelle Joni, Social Media Director of Spa Week and Editor of Spa Week Daily, held the event “VIP Internet Week Retreat, Life in more then 140 characters” at the Manhattan House on 66th that made us question when do we #signoff and how to find time for ourselves outside the speeding lanes of twitter and facebook.

Inspired by her retreat, which showcased wholesome goodies like Vitatops (@vitamuffins), Bubble Chocolate (@bubblechoc), BluePrintCleanse (@BPCleanse) and Energy Kitchen (@energy_kitchen),  I took the time to pick out a few haute #signoff suggestions of my own…

A soft pillow can be one of the most soothing comforts. Snuggle in some downtime away from your Blackberries and iPhones on Adrienne Landau Large Spotted Lynx Pillow – Beige/Brown ($295.00) www.barneys.com.

Green & Spring Relaxing Travel Candles ($32.00) are perfect for home, the studio or on the go travels. The essential oils of lavender, geranium and rosemary calm and soothe the senses. Not to mention no artificial colors or fragrance and Paraben-free. www.barneys.com

Exhale Spa offers the wellbar express, a perfect dose of you-time for rest and rejuvenation in no-time. Enjoy an aromatherapy scalp and hand massage or a guided meditation. For healing Exhale offers accupuncture, cupping and vibrational therapy. Check out www.exhalespa.com, (@exhalenyc) for more details.

Now back to our social media obsessions… To follow some fabulous tweets about spas and more ways to #signoff in NYC and social media advice check out @michellejoni and @spaweek. Questions welcomed.
