I am. And I found the perfect jewels for Oscar night.
I hit a number of bashes with my date, Max Ryan from Sex and the City 2 (he’s Samantha’s new love interest). The jewels came courtesy of designer Margaret Rowe, who was there to fuel my obsession for the evening and satiate my appetite for vintage, with a dash of modern flair. Now you too can satisfy your appetite for all things shiny, as she has just opened her very own atelier in Bev Hills on Camden.
The atelier features Rowe in residence four days per week for custom consultations. “As in Parisian boutiques, I bring a level of service and personalization to my atelier that my sophisticated Angeleno women deserve,” says the artist. “I want to share the usual solitary design process with my collectors and those that wish to collect Margaret Rowe. My inspiration is very much in the tradition of Coco Chanel.”
Dubbed the ‘New Precious’, Rowe’s necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings comprise vintage elements with semi-precious stones, chains and other elaborate detail modernized for today’s fashion conscious woman. “I’m creating heirlooms — wearable art that will never go out of style, is attention getting and very affordable,” says Rowe. Some of the women who are fans of her designs? Heidi Klum, Molly Sims, and Mariah Carey, just to name a few.
