Istanbul or Constantinople: Reliquary Spa Adds a Turkish Touch to Your Experience

The last thing you would expect to find at the rock and roll casino of Las Vegas is quiet. Hard Rock Hotel is home to the craziest pool party, Rehab, and some of the best concerts at The Joint and Wasted Space. But in the new HRH Tower sits Reliquary Water Sanctuary & Spa. It just sounds quiet.

The 25,000-square-foot spa takes its design inspiration from Turkish bathhouses with mosaic tiles and cabana-style alcoves meant for private mixing. Inside, you can experience the Bathhouse, a co-ed spa where up to 43 people can splash about. You can order food and bottle service, or rent out the room for private parties.

The spa is pretty small by Vegas standards with 21 treatment rooms. Don’t let that fool you. A party room can accommodate bachelor and bachelorette parties. A couples’ retreat treatment room gives you and your significant other space for up to four treatments. He doesn’t even have to miss the World Cup; a TV inside ensures that he’s kept up on all the scores.

Reliquary features a number of specialized treatments, such as the Russian Deep Tissue Massage, which uses a variety of advanced sports therapy techniques with deeper and more direct pressure to relieve muscle soreness and release chronic tension. The Turkish Ritual was inspired by Hamams of Istanbul. It includes a vigorous scrub using uplifting essential oils and exfoliating grains that stimulate circulation and remove dead skin cells. A traditional Turkish inspired sudsy massage follows using essential oils and shower gel to create an unforgettable experience.

The Russian Bania Ritual includes a thermal activated hot scrub that raises the skin’s temperature, followed by an authentic deep tissue Russian sports massage using a unique cooling lotion to lower the temperature of the skin’s surface. The Ancient Cane Ritual uses raw sugar cane juice combined with crystals and creamy oil to exfoliate and deeply moisturize. This massage ritual uses bamboo reeds for drumming, tapping and rolling to rebalance the body’s energy flow while working deep within the muscles and trigger points.

In the fitness center, you can have an only in Vegas moment and check out classes such as pole dancing, strip tease and booty camp.

At the pool, be sure to request a Spa Villa that offers private access to the spa from the HRH Beach Club. Each is designed to combine a city loft feel with the spirit of a private townhouse residence all taking up two stories. Each features sleek interior furniture and organic finishes such as an industrial staircase, floor-to-ceiling glass façade and floor made from polished concrete tile with white Venetian plaster wall finishes. If you prefer your treatments poolside, you can ask a private therapist to perform in-room spa treatments. Outside, you have access to a private plunge pool with direct access to the new HRH Beach Club.
