The Green Ball for Eco-Friendly Players in San Fran

Chevy Chase and his wife Jayni will be at The Green Ball on Friday, May 21st at The Officers Club at historical 1 Fort Mason in San Francisco, California. But, the star comedian/actor and  his wife won’t be the only ones you’ll recognize. There will be an awards ceremony hosted by environmentally conscious television journalist Doug McConnell.

The Green Ball is an event put together by Friends of the Earth, advocates of a progressive environment, with the goal of protecting the planet, focusing on clean energy and solutions to global warming.

Guests will have the chance to meet Green Ball award recipients and enjoy the delights of fresh, organic foods and wines, including locally-sourced cuisine from Fork & Spoon productions, organic and biodynamic wines from Frey Vineyards, handcrafted ales from North Coast Brewing Company, and a signature cocktail from Blue Ice Organic Vodka (served in an environmentally safe fashion, naturally). Of course they will get to marvel at the beauty of San Francisco’s history. 1 Fort Mason allows for a perfect view of San Francisco’s history, overlooking green-renovated Alcatraz Island and Aquatic Park.

If you think you’ll have a chance to catch up on some Z’s at this environmentally friendly event, then you are mistaken. You’re going to have to break out your dancing shoes for music by Moonalice, whose members have played with stars like Jefferson Starship, Rod Stewart, the Flying Other Brothers, Ann Atomic, and Phil Lesh & Friends.

Join stars like Chevy Chase for an evening of fun and a chance to enhance your environmental awareness. And if you can’t make it to the event, you can still donate by visiting the website.
