James Beard Foundation Awards 2010

The James Beard Foundation, the beloved non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to discover the ways in which cuisine can improve our daily lives, hosted their 2010 JBF Awards at the Lincoln Center.

These awards are so prestigious that Time Magazine referred to them as “The Oscars of the Food World,” and Haute Living couldn’t agree more. Renowned chefs, food and beverage experts, culinary media, restaurant architects, all strive to garner recognition from The James Beard Foundation.

Not only do the coveted awards recognize elite talent but they also attract an array of culinary craftsmen as well. Guests for this year’s presentation included Mario Batali, Andrew Zimmern, Kelly Choi, Tom Colicchio, Michael Mina, Todd English, and Susan Ungaro. Some of the award winners included Tom Colicchio, who took home the Outstanding Chef Award, Tim Hollingsworth won the Rising Star Chef of the Year Award, while the outstanding restaurateur award went to Keith McNally.
