What MADE Him Haute Widely considered one of the most powerful media executives in the world, Chernin began his own production company, titled Chernin Entertainment, following his departure from News Corporation in 2009. He is currently a board member of Malaria No More, a New York-based nonprofit with the goal of ending all deaths caused by malaria.

What Makes Him Haute Now: The LA Times is reporting that he is actively building his own empire, in fact, they even titled their profile of the mogul as such. Rather than joining any already established media company, Chernin is building his own from the ground up. Reports indicate that the company will introduce entertainment content in a variety of  platforms, including original television programming and feature films alongside cutting-end web and digital  components. The Haute 100 member has not gone public with his plans, even refusing to be interviewed by the Times for the article, but insiders are reporting that he is silently planning his next move. When he does make it, rest assured we will bring you more updates.
