Grand Opening of Salon Lucien at Preston Center

The official start of summer is next week, and just in time for the warmer climes Salon Lucien has opened its doors in Preston Center to update your look from winter bleak to summer chic. To celebrate their opening, the stylists and staff threw an early evening soiree Wednesday with champagne, gourmet bites and complimentary cuts and blow outs.

Store owner Mary Crosland said she had always been interested in hair styling and salons, and saw this opportunity as her chance to get a cut of the action. The gorgeously decorated salon, designed by Travis Terry, is situated on prime real estate at the corner of Northwest Highway and Preston Road, right next to Starbucks. Perhaps because of the shopping center’s busy traffic flow, Salon Lucien offers 20 minute services for discerning clients on the go, along with their regular coloring and styling treatments.

The stylists were all handpicked and are exceptional in their craft. Austin Valles, the clever little thing that layered up my locks and somehow made my hair look brighter, worked at the Kevin Charles Salon Uptown before his transfer to Lucien. He also appeared on the Bravo television series Launch My Line with Frederick Fekkai to create hair styles for the season finale.

Expect to be properly pampered at Lucien. Clients will enjoy champagne, wine, or perhaps some cucumber or lemon infused ice water while they get gorgeous, along with tasty little treats chosen by Crosland, whether that be cupcakes from Sprinkles or other surprises. Personally, I just might start making that visit for a trim every six weeks as Austin prescribed.
