Dori’s World: Valentino, Kenmare, and Kastel, Oh My!

There was so much going on last night, that today I must break from my traditional posting format, in order to share all of the haute happenings.

First stop on a balmy summer-like night: the Valentino boutique was in full swing as Elle Decor Editor at Large Carlos Mota signed copies of his new book Flowers Chic and Cheap.

Classic New York girls in Valentino included Amanda Hearst, Zani Gugelmann, Danielle Levine, Allison Sarofim, Fabiola Beracasa, Samantha Boardman, Marjorie Gubelmann, June Haynes, Olivia Chantecaille, Ashley Clandra, Aliz Zelin, and Bonnie Morrison. Amanda Ross came with her twin sister, Alison Green from London, who I kissed hello, not even realizing it was Alison and not Amanda that I was greeting. The stylish men making appearances were Carlos Mota, Adam Lips, Jake Deutsch, Brian Atwood, Carlos Souza, and Mark Gilbertson.

Next, on to Nur Kahn’s Kenmare for dinner with shoe designer extraordinaire Brian Atwood, Jake Deutsch, Jennifer Raines, Ali Wise, Danielle Levine, and Sante D’Orazio. In addition to the great ambiance, I can’t get enough of those meatball sliders.

The highlight of the of our time at Kenmare was when Ali Wise’s friend, Holly Wiersma, the Hollywoor producer, came to meet Ali at Kenmare and brought Jude Law and Sienna Miller. What a treat.

And what better way to wrap up an evening than with the opening of Kastel in the new Trump Soho. It was definitely a collection of who’s who in the NYC social scene, naturally. Certainly Eric Trump was there, as was Stavros Nicaros, Igor Blatnik, Ronnie Madras, Karim Amatullah, Ronnie Seikaly, Rich Thomas, Howard Kho, Russel Simmons, Nicola Siervo, Seth Greenberg, Noah Tepperberg, Greg Bello, and Rodarte owners Laura and Kate Mulleavy.
