Do You Have What it Takes to be Haute?

It is with a heavy heart that we announce Haute Living editor Christina Bohnstengel is leaving us to venture into an exciting new field. She has been an integral part of the success of our magazines and the launch of our online division (and the only reason I have remained (slightly) sane over the past 18 months that she has been with the magazine). She leaves some pretty big shoes to fill, but if you think you have what it takes to run our online division, which now includes 12 markets, read on for more information about the managing online editor position we are looking to fill.

Haute Living Magazine Seeks Managing Editor for Online Division

Haute Living magazine launched our new online division in September 2009, which has quickly grown into the No. 2 luxury site on the web. We are looking to add a member to our editorial team that can help us claim the No. 1 spot.

The managing online editor will oversee all of Haute Living’s online initiatives, which includes a luxury lifestyle blog updated daily in 12 markets, city guides, event coverage, and Haute Five posts. Editor will be responsible for managing a team of 30 contributors while also writing blog posts of his or her own, proofreading posts from contributors, and assigning topics as necessary. Online editor will also assist editorial director with some aspects of the print editions, as well as assist in the development of an iPhone/iPad application.

Candidate must have a minimum of three years experience in a related field; online experience preferred, although not a requirement. Impeccable writing and editing skills are required, and writing/editing tests will be given prior to hire. Proficiency in SEO required, knowledge of WordPress and Photoshop preferred. Knowledge of the luxury lifestyle a plus. This position is full-time, in-house, either in our New York or Miami office.

Interested candidates, please send resume and cover letter to online@hauteliving.com. We will contact those candidates whose experience matches our needs; no phone calls please.
