Never have designer collaborations been so en vogue. Everyone from J. Crew and Fenton/Fallon to Target and McQueen, Gaultier, Posen, you name it, has been successful with their partnerships. Today, the latest designer combo comes to us from Banana Republic and jewelry designer Chan Luu.
The collection of limited edition bracelets features Chan Luu’s signature wrap style—albeit knocked off by many imposters, none of which deliver quite like the designer. Materials include custom-dyed thread over leather, unique semi-precious stones, gold, and sterling silver in a range of four styles and lots of different colors. There are 17 pieces in total and prices run from $95 to $225.
The duo will celebrate their partnership with a bash hosted by Chan Luu at the Banana Republic Edition store in San Francisco tonight. The party is also in honor of the one-year anniversary of the accessories-only concept store, so it promises to be memorable. Oh, and those Bay Area chicettes unable to drop by will have plenty of time to scoop up some of these adorable bracelets—the collection will be exclusively available at the Edition store through August 10 when it will becomes available in select stores in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and online in the States.
Says Chan Luu of the collaboration, “It is such a pleasure for me to collaborate with Banana Republic, a classic brand whose timeless collections provide the perfect canvas for my own. What makes our partnership even more extraordinary is our shared belief in celebrating the power of personal expression.”
We can’t make it to the West Coast to pick up a bunch of these haute bracelets, but you can bet we will be in Banana Republic come August 10.
